Sam plays in the front row as a hooker.
He joined from Toronto Arrows, Canada’s first and only professional rugby union team. The side plays in North America’s Major League Rugby, the highest level of rugby competition in North America, where it’s the one team from Canada along with sides from major cities in the United States.
Sam was born in Blackpool England and moved to Canada when he was 11.
Sam shared his thoughts about joining Leeds Tykes: “I’m very excited to be a part of this special team. I think we are in control of our own destiny and can go as far as we want providing, we put the work in. The team is a great group of lads who know when to put in the hard graft but also know how to have a good time as well. I’m really looking forward to my time with the Tykes.”
His favourite rugby player/hero is Martin Johnson.
