Alastair da Costa, Leeds Tykes' Chair, with his CBE

We are hugely proud to announce that our Chair, Alastair Da Costa, recently received his CBE from the Prince of Wales at a ceremony in Windsor.

Alastair was named in the New Year Honours list for his services to Further Education and celebrated his special day with his family last week to collect his well-deserved honour.

With an extensive career in the legal sector, Alastair has taken on several leadership roles within education, notably as Chair of Governors at Capital City College, the largest further education institution in London, and is the current Chair of the University Council, the governing body, at the University of Leeds.

Alastair was appointed as the Leeds Tykes Chair in 2020 and has been instrumental in rebuilding the club after the Covid pandemic. Through his guidance and dedicated work, the Tykes continue to grow on and off the pitch, and we are grateful for his leadership as we prepare for the years ahead.

On behalf of everyone connected with the Leeds Tykes, we offer our wholehearted congratulations to Alastair for such an outstanding achievement.
