As we say goodbye to 2025 and welcome in 2026, I wanted to just send out a message to all our loyal followers.
We can look back at 2025 with a great sense of pride and achievement as a club. We managed a successful promotion from National 2 North, which culminated in an unforgettable Friday night game against Harrogate, which the players and staff had worked so hard for.
Moving up to National 1 has its challenges, which we know all about and it’s a challenge we are facing head on. Results haven’t always gone our way, but after our last positive result against our friends from Rotherham, it just shows what the playing group are capable of.
Moving into 2026, we have some good, exciting games on the horizon and with hopefully the injury situation easing and a couple of new signings we can look with an air of optimism for the future.
So here’s a thank you for all your unwavering support from me, the players and the staff to our loyal band of volunteers and supporters, near and far. Your voices are always heard on the field and I know the extra man was there at Headingley last week.
Happy New Year to you all.
