After five years of outstanding commitment, Jake Brady will be leaving the club at the end of June to take up the role of Director of Rugby at Harrogate RUFC.
Jake joined the Tykes in 2019 during the disrupted Championship season brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. As rugby resumed in 2021, he stepped into a dual role as both player and General Manager, demonstrating exceptional leadership both on and off the field. Over the past four seasons, Jake has been a cornerstone of the Tykes’ forwards unit, captained the club with distinction, and was recognised nationally, named in The Rugby Paper’s ‘Dream Team’ and ranked as the National League’s No.5 Player of the Season for National 2 North.
An integral part of this season’s promotion-winning squad, Jake leaves an indelible mark on the club’s recent history. While his departure is a loss for the team, the club recognises the significance of this new opportunity at an important stage in his career.
Leeds Tykes Chair Alastair Da Costa said:
“We’re incredibly grateful for everything Jake has brought to the club over the last five years. He has been a leader in every sense—on the pitch, in the dressing room, and off the pitch. Though we’re sad to see him go, he leaves with our full support and best wishes for the future. Jake will always be a part of the Tykes family and is welcome back anytime.”
As a club we have used the past month to review the year and plan for the season ahead and we have been fortunate to have the experience of Warwick Andrews with the Tykes over the past few months, and, we are delighted to confirm that Warwick will now take on the leadership of our off-field operations and will work with Jake on a seamless handover during June.
